Tirana Airport, also known as Nënë Tereza Airport, is currently the only international airport in Albania. Also commonly referred to as Rinas International Airport, it is located in the village of the same name, 6 km north-west of the capital of Albania, Tirana. The airport is named after the Roman Catholic nun and missionary mother Theresa, and serves as the center of the local airline Albawings and as a base for Blue Panorama Airlines, Adria Airways, Alitalia and Mistral Air. In 2015, the airport served about 2 million passengers.
Airport shuttle: Rinas Express is a bus that operates 12 hours a day (from 06:00 to 18:00). It will take you from the airport to the National Museum of Tirana in the city center.

If you prefer a more comfortable and less crowded vehicles, you can take a taxi to get to your destination in the city of Tirana. Taxi service Tirana Airport is provided by ATEX shpk, they are parked outside the terminal and in the collection area, and you recognize them by the yellow color with the red ATEX logo and the airport logo on both sides of the taxi.
If you do not like to use public transport and feel free to take a taxi, consider booking a private transfer, the driver of which will be waiting for you at the airport and will take you to the hotel or wherever you need. The transfer company will send a professional driver to pick you up. You can even pre-order a child seat if traveling with a child.
For those of you who would like to get to the city and explore the area on your own, the best option is to rent a car right at the airport. There are several car rental companies such as Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Ara and some others. Compare their rental prices and save time by ordering a car online.
For larger groups of passengers consider renting a bus at the airport. However, it is recommended to book it online, so bus hire companies have enough time to inform you about the meeting place and all other information.
From TIA to Durres: Adis Travel and Tours provides a bus from the airport to the second largest city of Albania, Durres, just 33 km away. One away is only 3.5 euros, and the journey takes about 40 minutes.

Answer: Directly from the airport you can visit only Durres, as mentioned above, but if you prefer any other domestic destinations or even foreign ones, such as Skopje, you need to go to the central station of the city and see the options.
