Hua Hin in Thailand: hotels, beaches, how to get there
Hua Hin Resort (Hua Hin, Hua Hin) is one of the oldest cities in Thailand. This is the administrative center of one of the municipal districts of the country of the same name. On the map of Thailand you can see that the city is located in the north of the Malay peninsula, the western coast of the Gulf of Thailand, covers an area of 86 km², and its surroundings — 839 km ². The name of the city “Hua Hin” in translation from Thai means “Stone Head”. This was served by stones sticking up above the water off the coast of the city, resembling stone sculptures of heads from afar.

Transport to get to Hua Hin:
On the minivan (minibass) from Bangkok:
- From Victory Monument metro;
- From Khao San Road;
- From the Southern Bus Station (SaiTaiMaiBusTerminal);
- From the North Bus Terminal (MorChitBusTerminal).
The cost of the trip is almost the same everywhere 190-200 baht. The time path is about three hours. Frequency of trips, every 30 minutes as the transport is filled. From 5 am and end at 7 pm. By train from bangkok
The trip by train to Hua Hin is quite long and difficult. The trip will take approximately 5 hours. But the cost is much lower than on the minibus and is 50-100 Baht. This trip is perfect for those who want to admire the local scenery. The train departs from Bangkok railway station and arrives at the central wooden station of Hua Hin, which is a landmark of the city.

Hua Hin is the royal resort city of Thailand. The beginning of the resort Hua Hin was laid back in the 20s of the last century by Prince Vachiravudh, who briefly became king of Siam. They built the summer residence of the king — the Thai Palace (Mrigadayavan Palace), in which the whole royal family loved to rest.

The scenery of the Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floatig Market is made to the station’s corporate identity — the historical pride not only of Hua Hin city, but also of Thailand.
The station, built of wood of one of the most expensive species — teak in the 19th century, opened the road to the city by land. The building in the sixties of the 20th century was reconstructed, its original appearance, unfortunately, is not preserved. However, the highlight of the station remained — the current royal box for waiting trains.

Hua Hin Beaches
The city of Hua Hin essentially has only one urban beach with a length of up to 10 km. The beach is relatively crowded, but there is always a place for sunbathing on the white sand or to get settled in with a deck chair under an umbrella. Beach merchants are constantly running along the shore, so you can save money on lunch in expensive restaurants.
There are other Hua Hin beaches, but they are located outside the city limits. One of them, which is located at the foot of the hill Khao Tao, is very fond of tourists. On it you can easily see a large statue of Buddha.
But it is worth noting, as disadvantages, that the sea on the city beach is shallow; a lot of jellyfish are thrown on the shore after the storm.
