Chiang Mai is an international airport, one of the largest airports in Thailand, the main center of air communication with southern China, Malaysia, Laos, Taiwan and others. Serves military flights and commercial air travel.

The airport is also served by special passenger cars, the most convenient (and least expensive) is a red color Songteo (passenger pickup), which can be easily caught throughout the city, the price is 15-20 baht. The main advantage: the ability to navigate at a low price.
It is possible to use tuk-tuks — motorized three-wheeled vehicles. Disadvantage: the inability to move with luggage, the price is 50-60 baht.

On the two floors of the airport there are various services designed to make the stay of passengers optimally comfortable here. On the ground floor there are storage rooms, pharmacies, travel agencies and offices (tables). On the second floor — emergency medical care. The medical center is open from 08.00 to 23.00;
On both floors there are small bookstores. Also here you can find food kiosks, small cafes, a restaurant, a sports bar and snack bars. Chiang Rai Airport provides exactly the same services.

On the airport there is a parking area of 12,884 m². Capacity: 447 places for vehicles.

Free services: Wi-Fi — Free for 2 hours per day (the same system at Chiang Rai airport). For people with disabilities, Chiang Mai proposes to use special tools: parking, elevator, toilet, public telephone.
Airport passenger check-in
2 hours before the departure of the aircraft, check-in begins. 40 minutes before departure, it ends. Check-in for a flight can be made only if you have a ticket for this plane and a passport.
Electronic tickets have recently become increasingly popular. A passenger with such a ticket needs only a passport for registration.
