Alexander Litvin: how to comply with the post
The period of one of the longest and strictest Christian posts — Lent. Lent begins on March 3 and lasts exactly 6 weeks, until the feast of Bright Easter, which falls on April 20. Alexander Lytvyn, a well-known participant and winner of the TV project “The Battle of Psychics”, gave a short interview for his official website, where he talked about how to fast in order to cleanse the soul from past sins and bring your inner world to a state of harmony and peace.
What is eaten in Lent? First, it must be remembered that during Lent, in no case can one eat the so-called «skoromnuyu» food, that is, meat and dairy products. Just as Alexander Litvin says, those who want to achieve the most complete spiritual cleansing should refrain from such products as fish and eggs.
According to the psychic, the most stringent fasting days are Pure Monday — the first day of the fast, and Good Friday — the penultimate day. Clean Monday falls on March 3, and Good Friday on April 18. During this period of time, you should completely limit yourself to food, being content with only water.
Observe the post, according to Alexander Litvin, it is very important even for non-religious people. The fact is that such a restriction in food allows you to cleanse your body of toxins and normalize the work of the digestive system. Throughout the six weeks of Lent, the following simple rules must be followed:
- on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, you can only eat once a day
- in the evening, only raw foods such as fruits, vegetables or bread can be eaten
- On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening you can treat yourself to boiled food, but without oil
- but on Saturday and Sunday you can drink some natural grape wine (Cahors) and enjoy food with a little added vegetable oil.
Alexander Litvin also notes that all these rules do not apply on Saturdays of Holy Week — the last week of Great Lent. A person who is fasting, as a rule, this Saturday, as on Good Friday, completely refuses to eat any food, and during the Holy Week fasting more strictly than during the rest of the fast.
Psychic Alexander Litvin recommends to pay attention to the fact that fasting must be accompanied not only by abstaining in terms of food, but also by emotional calm. During Lent, one should try to break out of the usual daily routine, confess at church once a week and read the Bible. Limit yourself in the media: try to spend less time on the Internet or watching TV.
Lent is the right time to clean up your spiritual state and build relationships with others.
