Gas injections — indications and contraindications to the procedure

Gas injections (for back, joints, face) — indications and contraindications; where do they do it and can it be done at home?

Gas shots or, as doctors call them, carboxytherapy was invented back in 1953 in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, Karlovy Vary, located in this country, is one of the most popular sanatoriums where they are treated with gas injections. This treatment method is based on the introduction under the skin of small portions of carbon dioxide, which significantly improves blood circulation and helps the body get rid of various toxins that have accumulated over a long time.

The gas injection procedure is completely painless despite the fact that a needle is inserted under the skin during the treatment process. However, patient reviews clearly indicate that a slight discomfort is possible only during the first few seconds, after which no unpleasant sensations occur.

Carboxytherapy is carried out for several sessions, the number of which depends on the problem. Anyway, gas shots do from three to twelve days with long breaks. At the same time, after the procedure, it is impossible to overcool or wet the injection site for about six hours, as this may cause redness and discomfort.

Prices for carboxytherapy can vary over a wide range. It depends on the city where the sanatorium is located, as well as on the equipment and the quality of the procedure. The most expensive cost for treatment with gas injections in the Czech Republic, as the quality of the procedure carried out in Karlovy Vary exceeds all expectations. On average, one procedure will cost you from $ 100 to $ 300. At home, to do pneumopuncture can not.
