This recipe is for those who like a combination of orange and dark chocolate flavors.
Chocolate chip cookies I do not like since childhood, its taste always seemed to me somehow flat.
But a visit to a nice candy store in a small Portuguese town contributed to the victory over the negative!
Cookies rich brown with a white sugar crust, packaged in cellophane «pound“With a golden ribbon, turned out to be too strong a temptation.
I decided to give chocolate biscuits another chance.
And again I was disappointed — the same inexpressive taste, a sort of under-chocolate.
And just recently, breaking off a slice of chocolates with orange candied fruit, I suddenly understood — an orange, but of course! He will fix the whole thing!
I quickly rubbed the zest, poured Cointreau on it, and began kneading the dough.
Since then, I have baked biscuit on this recipe many times.

Pour 3-4 tbsp into the dinner plate. l powdered sugar, dip your palms into it and roll balls of dough with powdered palms.
Each ball should be about the size of a walnut.
The dough will stick slightly to the hands, but we do not add flour in any case, just powder the hands more carefully. One good half of the ball dipped in icing sugar to make a white hat, and put it on a baking pan with the cap up.
And so every ball.
Bake in the upper part of the oven for 12-15 minutes.
It is important not to overdry: inside the cookies should be soft.
Especially delicious chocolate-orange cookies becomes the next day.
“In my family, the grandmother was the bakery chief — she knew how to bake cakes“ like in a village ”: a huge number of cakes and cheesecakes with different fillings from a huge amount of dough. Mama rarely baked and it was a Soviet classic: Honey cake, nuts with condensed milk, biscuits in mayonnaise, tubes with marmalade.
Experiments with Bird’s Milk, as I remember, have failed.
In my opinion, baking is a real pleasure: from the smell of spices, from the snowfall of flour that is sifted into a bowl, from whipping butter and sugar from yellow to white, from turning thin ordinary-bodied proteins into white glossy peaks, from the secret life of a dough full rustles and sounds, from the warm smell of yeast dough, which is so nice to put in place and observe how it is persistently chosen back.
When I need to organize my thoughts and ideas, I bake cookies, which are cut with molds. When I did not cope with the next technical device, I take out the waffle iron — it always submits to me. When you need to calm down internally, bake cupcakes.
Tune in for the holiday — cakes.
This kind of baking therapy turns out. ”
