Dietary recipe, how to cook mashed carrot soup for children and adults

Carrot soup puree — This is an excellent dietary meal for children and adults, which can be included in the diet in order to diversify their daily menu. In addition, it turns out not very fat, and accordingly it can be used safely for those people who want to get rid of extra pounds.

If we talk about soups puree in general, then for the Slavic peoples, they are not familiar and traditional dishes. Rather, the opposite is true. Until some time they were «in wonder». However, the rapid globalization has done its job and now the classic first courses of Western European countries have become quite natural for the Slavs.

Such soups have now become quite everyday and their “our” people eat with great pleasure.

However, it is worth noting that the puree soups differ significantly with respect to each other and there are even variants of hot and cold serving of such dishes. For example, carrot soup puree, which will be discussed further, is served exclusively cold. This, of course, is somewhat unusual for a soup, or rather, for our understanding that the soup should represent itself, but nevertheless, the taste of this dish is excellent!

So, let’s proceed to the implementation of our diet recipe!


  • Carrot
    (6 pieces)

  • Onion
    (1 PC.)

  • Boiled potatoes
    (2 pcs.)

  • Yogurt
    (1 jar)

  • Garlic
    (2 cloves)

  • Fresh greens
    (taste)

  • Water
    (500 ml)

  • Soy sauce
    (3 tbsp.)

  • Caraway
    (pinch)

  • Sunflower oil
    (taste)

  • Food salt
    (taste)

Before we proceed to the immediate cooking process, it is necessary to prepare all the required ingredients. First of all, of course, you need to make sure they are available or sufficient. You also need to prepare the vegetables, after cleaning them and washing them well with water.

So, now onion should be cut into cubes, but only small and fry it in a small amount of sunflower oil until golden brown. While onions will be fried, we will cut into half rings already cleaned and washed carrots.

As soon as the onion becomes golden, we will need to add a carrot to it. Fry all this should be on medium heat for at least three minutes. Onion and carrot should be salted and seasoned with half a pinch of cumin.

Next, pour into the pan half of the required amount of water, that is, 250 ml and continue to simmer the onions with carrots. In the meantime, you can do the cutting of garlic and potatoes.

Then add to the fried vegetables garlic, soy sauce, and also boiled potatoes in advance. All this with a blender grind to a state of uniform mashed potatoes. If it turns out too thick, you can dilute it with water.

Strain the puree through a sieve, and then send it to the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

While mashed carrot soup is cooled, make a dressing for it: mash garlic, cumin and salt into a homogeneous mass. To it add finely chopped parsley, basil and green onions.

The resulting «substance» is mixed with yogurt. Now refueling is ready!

Serving this dietary dish to serve, you need to season it with dressing and decorate with greens, and if you want you can even add a little olive oil.
